my personal favorite pens and pencils

sakura pigma micron 08, 0.5mm — uniform line, waterproof, quick drying, medium juicy, dark ink, good for writing addresses on letters and messages on the backs of business cards in packages

sakura pigma professional brush pen, fine — precise yet springy tiny pointy tip, waterproof ink. good for drawing and for writing names on letters fancily. lifts a little when erased over alas but everything else is good

gold pilot metropolitan fountain pen, fine, converter installed / clear pilot kakuno, fine, brass kaweco clip installed — cheap precise fountain pens that i keep banging around in travel or letting dry out and they are A-OK. nice for fancy-feeling list making or journaling. fun for drawing but don't let your sketchbook get wet. I can't remember what ink I have in the metropolitan but the kakuno has green cartridges

pentel energel infree 0.5mm turquoise — just a pleasantly juicy gel pen

pentel twist-erase pencil 0.5mm — vintage style and big ol' replacable eraser. hard to break

pilot color eno erasable mechanical pencil in sky blue — just fun to have as an undersketch option

pentel vistage water brush, fine — mvp. ride or die. if you're doing a watercolor painting on location that's about five by five inches this is your girl

New pen! a hongdian n9 with a long blade nib in just the most enticing cotton candy trans flag colours.

i love any built in line variety, but the long blade knib definitely shares some of the angle touchiness of the similar architect nib, so there will be an adjustment period.

I filled it with my most pastel ink, sailor's nekoyanagi from their manyo line.

I'm growing to accept that, despite the potential quality and lifetime add of metal, i prefer plastic pen bodies. This resin body is warm, it's thick enough for my nerve grafted hand to hold comfortably, and it's not too heavy. there's something inherently soft about a resin pen body, I really do think they're my favorites so far.

that said, i don't have a turned wood or antler fountain pen and I'm extremely open to falling in love with those too if anyone knows a good one!

anyways, fountain pens! they're good actually. still. of course.

 ♡ Bullet Journal

I am not in any classes because of my gap year, so I use my bullet journal to make lists for my job and do creative spreads. Usually, I follow a functional approach, spending less time on the spread design and making more room for my planning. When I do not have time, I just make a bulleted list of items and other notes I need. I'm chill with not having every page beautiful. That system works for me!

 ♡ Reflection Journal

I reflect on what happens in my day-to-day and doodle freely. I also use my journal to track major habits; I always remember to do so because I check my tracker every time I commute. For writing, I am using the M&G AGPH3709, my favorite M&G black pen because of the triangular barrel shape. I also use the Macaron Pink Special Edition Lamy Fountain Pen (from Taiwan). My notebook also comes from Taiwan. I love being able to hang keychains from the rings.

 ♡ Sony Headphones

I got the Sony WH-1000XM5 for my birthday! Apparently, Le Sserafim recently did a collab with Sony for pink headphones?? Honestly, I should have waited... I still love the color of mine and the sound quality!

 ♡ Sumikko Gurashi Stamps

My aunt gave me these stamps in Taiwan. I found a use in them for my habit tracker table. Whenever I work on a habit I want to build, I stamp instead of making a check mark.

 ♡ Laneige Lip Balm

I recently got the Sweet Candy flavor. I drilled a hole on the top by heating up a paperclip end and poking through. This allows me to put keychains and hang my lip balm on my journals.
